Welcome to the vibrant and growing community of storytellers and story-listeners. There are several ways you can donate – or, better yet, join the community – a community of friends, supporters, and members of Storytelling Toronto.
Donations from both members and non-members are an important part of our annual budget. Your contribution supports our organizational costs (staff, office, website) and the programming produced by Storytelling Toronto and under the Storytelling Toronto umbrella.

Make a Donation:
If you simply wish to make a donation rather than to become a member, please fill out the form below and check the “Donation” box. You will receive a charitable tax receipt and we will not keep your information on file.
Golden Apple Member ($100 or more):
A token of our gratitude, your donation recognized on our website and in our Annual Report, a vote at the AGM, eligibility for the Board of Directors. Receive Pippin, e-newsletter, StoryFusion Cabaret! and Festival programs.
Supporting Member ($60 +) *:
Your donation recognized on our website, a vote at the AGM, eligibility for the Board of Directors. Receive Pippin, e-newsletter, StoryFusion Cabaret! and Festival programs.
Regular Member ($30 +):
A vote at the AGM, eligibility for the Board of Directors. Receive Pippin, e-newsletter, StoryFusion Cabaret! and Festival programs.
Friend ($10 +):
Receive Pippin, e-newsletter, StoryFusion Cabaret! and Festival programs.
Donor (any amount):
Receive a charitable tax receipt, only.
**All storytellers are invited to join the Directory if they have paid $60 or more.
The fine print about membership
The minimum voting membership donation is $30, and members are encouraged to donate more as their annual dues. Additional donations beyond $100 are of course welcome. Supporting members who pay a minimum of $60 are invited to join the Storytelling Toronto Directory.
The membership year runs from September 1 to August 30. If a new member pays dues early, in July or August, membership will start immediately and run through August of the following year.
All members receive announcements of the annual general meeting, are eligible to serve on committees and the Board, and are included in consultations on our future.
You can receive the essentials by mail, if you wish, if you donate $30 or more. This includes Pippin, your Toronto Storytelling Festival and StoryFusion Cabaret! concert flyers, and (if you’re a member) notices of any general meetings.
As an added perk, members of Storytelling Toronto get a $10 discount when they register as an individual member of Storytellers of Canada – Conteurs du Canada.
Pippin is Storytelling Toronto’s quarterly newsletter, bringing you storytelling articles and reviews, interviews with local and visiting storytellers, and listings of events including storytelling groups and gatherings around the city and the province. Supporters of Storytelling Toronto receive an e-copy of Pippin four times per year. Click on the drop down menu below to look at back issues.
