Storytelling II (Online)

Course Description:
If you’ve already taken a beginner’s storytelling course*, and would like to widen your repertoire, develop your confidence, and have more opportunities for telling, Storytelling II: Next Steps is for you. You will choose a personal or traditional story you want to work on and have the opportunity to hone your storytelling skills through practices including, story mapping, role playing and connecting with voice. Each participant will have a chance to tell their story and receive constructive and helpful feedback.
PREREQUISITE: Storytelling I: First Steps Into the Art of Storytelling OR equivalent experience.

About Instructor,  Ruth Danziger:
Ruth Danziger is a storyteller and multidisciplinary artist. In addition to her varied programs with adults and children, she hosts regularly with Storytelling Toronto’s Story Tent and tells with the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program where she also edited two collections of stories, Grandmother Spider and I Bring You a Story.  Ruth has participated in community projects such as Village of Storytellers and performed in several multidisciplinary pieces including Love Stories from the Mahabharata, The Monkey King with Diane Wolkstein,  an electroacoustic version of The Handless Maiden composed by Wendelin Bartley and at Nuit Blanche with the improvisational voice collective Hathorah. She is a recipient of the Anne Smyth travel award.
