There is a beautiful connection between a storyteller and audience that can (and does) inspire someone, or everyone (I’m hopeful) in the crowd to find their own courage and share their own stories. This is what I love most about storytelling — to connect, inspire, encourage, and support new people to become storytellers.
Inspired by the connections we’ve made, and building on a desire to encourage new diverse voices in storytelling, we sought out those who are both new to the art and those who are new to us. Each of them brings their unique voices and experiences through the personal true stories they share.

Biography
Paul Aflalo is a storyteller and documentary producer who creates narrative-driven pieces for film, radio, and the stage. He is the artistic director of Replay Storytelling, an all-true storytelling series based in Toronto, and is also the founder of the 24-hour True Storytelling Festival. Paul has performed on stages across Canada, United States, and Europe. His radio and film work have been featured on CBC, BBC, and film festivals around the world.
