Storytelling With Young Children

The art and craft of telling stories with young children, particularly those in preschool and primary grades, rests on simple picture image, a few handy tools, and some insights into the wonder of child development. You will discover how rhythm, rhyme and harmony can delight. Learn how to select and create stories you will love to tell. 

Instructor:

Dawne McFarlane is a mother, Waldorf teacher and performer who has been sharing the art of storytelling for more than 35 years across Canada and internationally. She is rooted in a rich tradition passed down from her Scottish Grandfather. Dawne was Artistic Director of Toronto Storytelling Festivals 2019/20/21. Dawne is co-author with Georgiana Keable (Norway) of Fairytales, Families and Forests: Storytelling with Young Children (Hawthorn Press)www.dawnemcfarlane.ca
