The Distant Word

How does the son of a revolutionary remember the events that happened just before his birth? Do we see our past with the critical eye it deserves, or rose tinted glasses? In the Distant Word the storyteller realized the story he wanted to tell — that of the Iranian revolution of 1979 — the years that led up to it and the bloody aftermath, are all too much to put in one show. A dramatic intervention is the only solution. The narration is cut into many little pieces, which will be drawn at random by the audience. Every time the show is performed it’s different.
